Who we are
Proyecto Indio is a Helping Organization that support and develop projects in benefit of the most needed sectors in Ecuador especially in benefit of childhood and youth. Its main objective is to improve the Education, Health-Nutrition and Generate Economic Activities for their families.
Kurt Hottinger, a Swiss business man, Proyecto Indio founder, and principal supporter, together with Manantial Foundation, projects developing responsible, have realized the supporting and solidarity conviction, represented by direct actions.
The different activities accomplishment count on the volunteer and professional support, material and technician support from some companies and also with the beneficiaries "active" participation.
A short story …

In 1998, Kurt Hottinger, began to import Ecuadorian Roses to Switzerland. In June 1999, he visited several sectors in Ecuador where the support were necessary. Impressed for the Ecuador very high poverty sectors: malnutrition, illiteracy, childhood and maternity mortality, lack of employment, he decided to support and develop helping projects specially Education, Health-Nutrition, Working Opportunities.
Proyecto Indio borne from the deep helping and solidarity conviction for the most needed sectors.
Kurt Hottinger says: "Ecuadorian Roses grants happiness to persons in Switzerland but also persons in its origin country, Ecuador".
Values
Proyecto Indio respects the country culture and customs and that is why its Team works together with Manantial Foundation, where the Ecuadorian collaborators are responsible for the projects development.
Proyecto Indio helps in a direct way to act in a dynamic way and without bureaucracy.
